What is the IPSB?
The International Protective Security Board is an independent, volunteer organization devoted to promoting the protection industry’s interests and professionalization.
What does the IPSB do?
The International Protective Security Board (IPSB) was established in early 2016 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. IPSB was created to elevate the protection industry and to serve as a space to encourage collaboration for all the members of the global protection community.
We work for and with all sectors in the protective security industry and have identified these categories as significant sectors around the world:
Executive/Corporate
High-Threat/PSD
Faith-Based Organizations
High Net-Worth/Estate
Celebrity/Entertainment
Government/Dignitary
Since 2015, we have seen many changes to the protective landscape that we all operate in and IPSB has served as a conduit to connect those interested in furthering the ability of the global protection community to develop and grow together.
We offer opportunities throughout the year to meet and gather with fellow protection professionals and hold the annual conference as an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop together with each passing year.
We are powered by our board of directors who are industry leaders and countless volunteers whose consistent contribution to the development of the protective security industry cannot be overstated.
We invite you to join us as we work together as a community to find better ways to mitigate the threats of tomorrow by improving the ability of professionals around the world to collaborate, learn, and network to ensure best practices lead to mitigating the threats of the future

All IPSB donations are considered charitable contributions and tax deductible.
Our Mission
IPSB was created to facilitate the development and awareness of professional standards, thought leadership and best practices for the Protective Security industry.
The mission to offer and/or facilitate Protective Security professional development and continuing education is one worthy of collaboration amongst industry leaders, decision makers and protection professionals around the world.
We offer a diverse and collaborative environment to help promote the Protective Security industry with existing and future markets while using subject matter experts from each sector of the global protection community. The goal of this community is to develop, maintain and promote a culture where professionals can become better at what they do and effect positive change where needed and the elevation of standards where appropriate.
We seek to unite thought leaders from all over the world to research and educate the Protective Security industry, as we work together to improve the ability of protection professionals to use this research to elevate and maintain industry leading best practices as they evolve and develop to mitigate the risks of tomorrow.
